Use a different email address (Android)

You can't change the email address associated with your Photoroom user account. But you can use a different email address to access a Space. This article explains how.

You can’t change the email address linked to your Photoroom account. However, you can share your Space with a new email address and then use that new address to work in Photoroom.

This will mean you have two users in your Space:

  • Your original user with your old email address.

  • Your new user with your new email address.

There is no extra charge for an additional user as the pricing is based on one subscription per Space (see Billing for Spaces).


On Android

To use a different email address to log in to Photoroom:

  1. Log in to Photoroom using your existing user account (the account associated with your old email address).

  2. Select the Space you want to share with your new email address.

  3. Select Team (on the Content screen).

  4. Select Invite members.

  5. Enter your new email address as a new invite and then select Send invites.

  6. Select X to exit the invite screen and then the back arrow to exit the Team screen.

  7. Log out of Photoroom:

    1. Select the Space menu.

    2. Select Manage account.

    3. Select Log out.

  8. Open your email for the new email address and find the email that invites you to join the Space. Select the link in the email to log in to Photoroom.

    For a brand new account, there may be introduction screens to work through, for example for adding a photo to your account. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  9. If you need to log in, select the option for Google or Facebook log in. Alternatively select the Other options or Email or other options button to use an email address.

    Note: If you use an email address, Photoroom will send you a "magic code" email that contains a code and a link. You can either select the link or enter the code into Photoroom manually.

  10. Select the Space that you joined.

    You are now logged in to the Space using your new email address.

Note: If your old account is the Admin paying for the subscription, Photoroom will continue to bill that account. To transfer the subscription to a different user account, contact Photoroom Support. This transfer can’t be done by yourself and must be handled by our support team.
