Switch your subscription to mobile or web

Learn how to change a mobile subscription to a web subscription or a web subscription to a mobile subscription.

In some cases, it can be beneficial to switch your subscription, either from:

  • Mobile subscription to web subscription

  • Web subscription to mobile subscription.

Typically, you would only switch your subscription if:

  • A feature you want is only available on a particular subscription, for example, weekly billing is only available on mobile subscriptions.

  • You have a personal preference for billing via Stripe (web), Apple App Store, or Google Play Store.

  • Our customer support recommend you switch to make the payment process easier to manage.

The process for switching your subscription varies, depending on how much time remains on your current subscription. The following sections explain what you need to do in each case.


Subscription is in free trial period

If your subscription is still in a 7 day free trial period:

  1. When the free trial ends, log in to the platform you want to have the new subscription. Use the same login details as before so that you keep the same Photoroom user account. This will mean you can keep any designs in the Space. Alternatively, create a new account and Space.

    • For web subscriptions, log in at app.photoroom.com

    • For mobile subscriptions, download the Photoroom app on your device and log in.

  2. If you want a paid subscription plan, upgrade the Space (see Upgrade a Space).


Subscription is part way through

If your subscription is past the free trial period and some way off expiring, contact customer support for advice. They can tell you when to cancel your subscription, apply for a refund, and sign up for a new subscription.


Subscription is about to end

If you can wait until your subscription ends before you switch it:

  1. When the subscription ends, log in to the platform you want to have the new subscription. Use the same login details as before so that you keep the same Photoroom user account. This will mean you can keep any designs in the Space. Alternatively, create a new account and Space.

    • For web subscriptions, log in at app.photoroom.com

    • For mobile subscriptions, download the Photoroom app on your device and log in.

  2. If you want a paid subscription plan, upgrade the Space (see Upgrade a Space).
