You can add realistic shadow effects to your designs with the AI Shadows feature. It's a quick and easy way to make the objects in your designs look more three-dimensional.
In this article we explain how to apply AI Shadows on the Android version of Photoroom. If you are using the Android or Web App version, see:

Use the AI Shadows tool (Android)
To use the AI Shadows tool to apply shadow effects:
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select AI Shadows.
Choose a photo to work with:
Upload a photo from your Gallery
Take a new photo with your device's Camera
Select an image from your Files
Generate an image with AI
Choose an image from your recent Uploads or Gallery.
Choose a style of AI Shadow:
Soft - a light shadow effect
Hard - a strong shadow effect
Floating - a shadow below the main object to make it look like it is hovering.
Select Apply this shadow.
[Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, such as add text or graphics.
Select Export to download your design to your device and save it in Photoroom. There are also options to share your design.
Apply AI Shadows while editing (Android)
You can also apply AI Shadows while editing:
Create a new design or edit an existing design and open it in the the main editor.
Select Shadows.
Note: Shadows is only available when there are no layers currently selected.
Choose a style of AI Shadow:
Soft - a light shadow effect
Hard - a strong shadow effect
Floating - a shadow below the main object to make it look like it is hovering.
Select Apply this shadow.
[Optional] Use the settings for the Shadow layer to change the shadow effect:
Regenerate - redraw the shadow
Change style - choose a different type of AI Shadow.
[Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, such as add text or graphics.
Select Export to download your design to your device and save it in Photoroom. There are also options to share your design.
