Edit Cutout lets you control which parts of a layer are kept and which are removed. It's especially useful when the Background Remover has removed too much or too little of your image, as it lets you fine-tune the cutout manually.

Edit Cutout is available on the foreground layers in a design when the background has been removed. It has two modes:

  • Erase
Removes parts of the layer that were in the original image. For example, here we use Erase to remove the red vest.

3 images. Image 1 shows a red vest and denim skirt. Image 2 shows the red vest being erased. Image 3 shows the denim skirt only.

  • Restore
Recovers any parts of the image that were removed by Background Remover or Edit Cutout + Erase. For example, here we use Restore to recover the red vest so it is part of the image again.

3 images. Image 1 shows a denim skirt. Image 2 shows a red vest being restored above the denim skirt. Image 3 shows a red vest and denim skirt.
