You can connect your Shopify store to Photoroom. Once the connection is in place, you can use Photoroom to add products, generate or edit product images, generate titles and descriptions, and publish to your store.
To make the connection, you will:
Install the Photoroom AI Listing Assistant app in Shopify
Choose which Space to connect to
The app is safe to install and will not impact the load times or performance of your store.
Before you start
Prerequisites
To connect Shopify to Photoroom, you need:
A Photoroom account. You can create one at app.photoroom.com or during the connection process.
Administrator access to the Photoroom Space you want to connect.
A Shopify login with permission to install apps (store owners have this by default).
Limitations
The Photoroom AI Listing Assistant has limits that apply based on your subscription plan and monthly export allowance.
The limits affect:
The number of products you can edit
Exporting and downloading
Publishing
AI-generation of titles and descriptions.
You can buy a Photoroom subscription using Stripe (in Photoroom) or in Shopify. If you subscribe from Shopify, the payments, invoicing, and billing management are handled by Shopify.
Note: You need one Space per Shopify store.
Steps (Web App)
There are two ways to connect Photoroom and your Shopify store:
Connect from Photoroom
Connect from the Shopify App Store
Connect from Photoroom
Important: Installing the Photoroom app in Shopify is only part of the connection process. You need to install the app and set up the connection in Photoroom, as described below.
To connect Photoroom to your Shopify store:
Log in to Shopify.
Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to connect to Shopify.
Select Connect Shopify.
Select Connect to Shopify.
The Photoroom AI Listing Assistant page opens in the Shopify App Store.
If Photoroom has not been installed in your store before, select Install. If it has, select Open and skip the next step.
Check the on-screen information about permissions and select Install.
If you administer multiple Spaces, check that the Space shown is the one you want.
Select Connect Shopify.
Photoroom syncs with your Shopify store. This can take a minute or more.
Note: If the Space is already connected to another Shopify store, you can select Replace Shopify store. This disconnects the existing store, discards any unpublished edits, and connects the new store. To keep the existing connection, choose another Space for the new store.
Select Start tour for a quick onboarding guide or Maybe later to skip it.

Connect from the Shopify App Store
Important: Installing the Photoroom app in Shopify is only part of the connection process. You need to install the app and set up the connection in Photoroom, as described below.
To connect Photoroom and Shopify from the Shopify App Store:
Log in to Photoroom.
Log in to Shopify.
Visit the Shopify App Store.
In Shopify, select Settings, Apps, and then Shopify App Store. Alternatively, open a new tab and go to apps.shopify.com.
Search for Photoroom.
Select the Photoroom AI Listing Assistant.
If Photoroom has not been installed in your store before, select Install. If it has, select Open and skip the next step.
Check the on-screen information about permissions and select Install.
If you administer multiple Spaces, check that the Space shown is the one you want.
Select Connect Shopify.

Problems connecting your store?
Photoroom syncs with your Shopify store during installation. If the sync fails, make sure that:
Your device is connected to the internet and has a stable connection
You can log in to your Photoroom account and your Shopify account
You are using the correct Shopify account when you set up the Photoroom-Shopify connection.
