Photoroom lets you create product listings and manage all product images in one place. Once your images are ready, you can publish them and use Shopify to complete the remaining details, such as pricing and stock.
This article explains how to create a product listing, add images, and publish it to Shopify using the Photoroom Web App.
Steps (Web App)
To create a new Shopify product using Photoroom:
Log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space that's connected to your store.
Select Shopify products.
Select Add product.
Enter a Title and Description for your product.
Select Create.
Select Add images.
[Optional] Use Assets to:
Upload an image
Choose an image from the assets available in the Space.
[Optional] Use Designs to choose a design saved in the Space.
[Optional] Use Generate to create an image with a Photoroom AI tool.
Choose the AI Tool you want to use, for example, Virtual Model.
Upload an image to use as a starting point. This is usually a product photo.
Use the tool's settings to tell the AI what you want.
The settings work in the same way as the AI Tools in the main editor. For information about them, see the articles listed in the "Related articles" section below.
Select the arrow button to generate.
Use the context menu to generate other angles, create a short video, or make edits from a prompt.
When you find an image you want to use, select it and choose Add to listing.
[Optional] Select the product and then use the editor to make changes to the image.
Select Shopify and then SEO & metadata.
For each image, either:
Enter filenames and descriptions manually
Use Generate to create them with AI.

To update your Shopify store, select Sync changes, then select Sync to Shopify.
Photoroom publishes the product images to Shopify in Draft status.
In Shopify, complete the product listing details, such as pricing and stock.
Once finished, change the status from Draft to Active to make the listing live.
Tip: If you create variants for the product in Shopify, you can use Photoroom to add images for the variants. For details, see Apply an image to a Shopify variant (Web App).
