The Product Catalog Editor provides several ways to add images to a product listing:
Add images from your Product Catalog's Assets
Add Designs saved in the Space
Use an AI Tool to generate new images.
This article explains how to add images using Assets, Designs, or AI Tools in the Photoroom Web App.
Steps: Add images from Assets or Designs (Web App)
To add images from your Space's Assets or Designs:
Select Add images.
Either:
Select Assets and choose the images you want (or upload new ones).
Select Designs and choose the designs that you want. You can choose any of the designs that have been saved in the Space.
Select Add to listing.
Photoroom adds the images to your product listing.
[Optional] Use the Product Catalog Editor to make additional changes.
When you have finished editing, add SEO filenames and alt text. Then publish the updates to Shopify to update your store (Max and Ultra plans only).
Steps: Generate images using AI Tools (Web App)
To generate a product image using AI Tools:
Select Add images.
Select Generate.
Select the AI Tool you want to use, for example, Virtual Model.
Choose a product image to use as a starting point. Alternatively, upload a new image.
Use the settings to specify what you want in your image.
The settings vary depending on which AI Tool you use. They work in the same way as the AI Tools in the main editor.

Select the arrow button to generate an image. Generating an image costs AI credits.
[Optional] Use the generated image's context menu to:
Edit the image using an AI prompt. This will generate a new image (costs AI credits).
Generate a product image from a different angle (costs AI credits)
Generate a video using the Video generator tool (costs AI credits).
Delete the image.
Download the image.
[Optional] Use the settings and the arrow button to generate alternative images (costs AI credits).
When you have an image you're happy with, either:
Select its context menu and then Add to listing.
Select the image and choose Add to listing.
When you select the image, there are also options to remove the background, make changes, and download the image.
When you have finished editing, add SEO filenames and alt text. Then publish the updates to Shopify to update your store (Max and Ultra plans only).
