Generate product images for your store with AI Shot List (Web App)

Use the AI Shot List feature to generate one or more professional-looking product photos without the expense of a photoshoot. The AI Shot List settings are available from the Shopify sidebar. They are also shown by default when you add a new product in Photoroom's Product catalog.

AI Shot List works like this:

  1. Photoroom analyzes your product image and creates various suggestions.

  2. You get a preview of the suggestions so you can get an idea of what the images will look like before spending any AI credits.

  3. You choose which AI shots you want and Photoroom generates them and adds them to your product listing.

In this article, we explain how to use AI Shot List when you edit a product listing. You can also use AI Shot List when you create a product in Photoroom.

Note: We assume you have already connected Photoroom to your store and have products in your Product catalog.

Steps (Web App)

To generate images with AI Shot List:

  1. Open a product in the Product editor.

  2. Select AI Shot List from the Shopify sidebar.

    ​Note: If the Shopify sidebar is not displayed, select Shopify in the side menu.
    ​

  3. Choose the types of product shot you want Photoroom to generate (front, back, side, detail, and more). The previews show what the images will look like, but be aware that the generated images can be different to the previews. This is especially true with detail and lifestyle shots.
    ​

  4. [Optional] If you have photos showing your product from different angles, select the + plus icon in the Upload images of the product section. Upload the additional images to help the AI produce more accurate results.

  5. Select Generate.

    Generate uses AI credits.
    ​
    Photoroom generates the images and adds them to the product. They are only added in Photoroom, but will be added to your store when you publish.
    ​

  6. [Optional] Delete any images that you don't want. You can generate more images by selecting the type you want and then selecting Generate.

  7. [Optional] Use the Product editor to make further changes to the product images, such as adding text or graphics.

  8. When you are happy with the product images, select the back arrow next to AI Shot List to return to the Shopify sidepanel.

  9. Use the Title & Description and SEO & Metadata sections to check that the text for your product and images is suitable. You can change it or regenerate it if needed.

  10. Publish your changes to upload them to your store.
