If your product has variants set up in Shopify, you can use Photoroom to associate a specific image with each variant. For example, in the image below, we have associated images with variants for each color.
Important: You must create variants and set their names in Shopify. This cannot be done in Photoroom.
Note: This article assumes you have already connected Photoroom to your Shopify store.
Steps (Web App)
To associate an image with a variant:
In Shopify, create the variants you want for your product.
Select Shopify.
Select Variants.
Note: If your new variants are not listed, close the Variants dialog and refresh your browser. If the variants still do not appear, log out of Photoroom and log back in.
Select the image icon next to the variant.
Choose the image for the variant.
Either:
Upload a new image to the product Assets
Choose an image from the existing Assets
Choose one of the Designs in the Space
Generate a variant image by using an AI Tool.
For information on AI Tools, see the articles listed in the "Related articles" section below.
Select Add to listing.
When you have finished editing, publish your changes to Shopify.
When you publish the product listing to Shopify, Photoroom will add the chosen image to the appropriate product variant. It will then be available in your store.
Note: The Create variant and Delete variant options will take you to your Shopify store where you can make or remove variants.
