Present your clothing on an invisible mannequin with Photoroom's Ghost Mannequin. It’s ideal for product listings, ads, and social media content where you want the focus to remain on the clothing itself.
Note: AI-generated results may differ from the original clothing photo, especially for detailed textures, patterns, or shapes. Use the Fix product tool to fine-tune inaccurate details.

Steps (Web App)
To create an image that shows clothes on an invisible ghost mannequin:

As Ghost Mannequin includes several optional features, the instructions below are split into stages.
Stage 1: Access the Ghost Mannequin tool
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Ghost Mannequin.
If you can't see the Ghost Mannequin option, select See all to get a full list of the AI tools.
Stage 2: Use the Ghost Mannequin settings
Use the sidebar settings to configure your image:
Drop a file or select an image
Use to upload a picture of clothing.
Size
Use to choose the size and orientation of the image.
Apply brand style
Choose whether the brand description should influence the AI when it generates an image. The brand description comes from the Brand Kit, but you can change it here too.
Note: Any changes you make are saved to the brand description. They will affect the brand description across the entire Space.
Prompt
Use the prompt field to describe any requirements, for example, "show angled view with camera to the right".
When you have made your choices:
Select Generate to create an image. Each generation uses AI credits.
[Optional] Create alternative images by changing the Ghost Mannequin settings and then selecting Generate.
Stage 3: Generate variations and further edits
Now that you have a Ghost Mannequin image, you can use its context menu to access further features, including the ability to generate variations and video:
Position the cursor over an image and select its context menu ( ... ).
Use these options to generate additional images or video:
Change something
Describe changes in a prompt and Photoroom will then generate a new image with your changes applied.
Other angles
Use to generate another version of the image, shown from a different camera angle. The pose may also change.
Generate video
Use to create a short video based on your image. It opens the Video Generator tool.
Select Delete to remove the image from the history.
Select Download to download the image as a file.
Select Copy link to copy the URL for the image to your clipboard for sharing. See Share a preview of AI-generated images and videos (Web App).
Use Good result and Bad result to provide feedback on the quality of the AI generations.
Tip: Looking to edit multiple images at once? Check the boxes for each image and then select Edit in Batch in the toolbar at the bottom.
Stage 4: Finalize and save
When you have a Ghost Mannequin image you are happy with, select it and follow the steps below:
[Optional] Use the arrow buttons next to the image to choose one of your other Ghost Mannequin images.
[Optional] Use the settings to make any final changes:
Remove background
Use to keep or remove the background.
Tip: Remove the background if you plan to edit or replace the background, or make changes to the subject in the main editor. This separates the background and subject into different layers, making them easier to edit.
Fix product
Use to fix any parts of the image that the AI has generated inaccurately, such as product logos and other details. See Fix AI-generated images with Fix product (Web App).
Edit with AI
Use a prompt to make changes using AI. This will generate a new image.
Generate video
Another chance to use the Video Generator to create a short video based on your image. It opens the Video Generator tool.
Edit cutout
Use to remove or restore parts of a layer. Only available when the background has been removed. See Remove and restore with Edit cutout (Web App)
... More actions and then Retouch
Use to remove parts of the image by blending with the background. Only available when the background is included in the image. See Remove parts of an image with Retouch (Web App).
... More actions and then Resize
Use to change the size and orientation of the image.
[Optional] Select Download to download the image file.
Select Use this image to open your design in the editor.
Use the editing features to make additional changes, such as add text, shapes, and other design elements.

When you have finished editing, select Download to download the design.
Select Home to save your design and exit the editor.
You can now use your downloaded file in other applications. Your design is also available in the Space's Designs in Photoroom.
Tip: To use your Ghost Mannequin design with a template, download the design as an image file. Then import the image file as a new design and choose a template.
