On Web App
To create an image that shows clothes on an invisible ghost mannequin:
(Video shows Photoroom on Web App. AI image generation has been speeded up).
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Ghost Mannequin.
Select Subject and upload a photo.
Tip: You can use any product photo! This includes images that you've created with Photoroom AI features, such as Virtual Model and Flat Lay, and then exported as image files.
Set the size of the image that Photoroom will create. Choose from:
Square
Portrait (3:2 ratio)
Landscape (3:2 ratio).
Select the arrow button to generate 2 images.
[Optional] Hover the cursor over an image to display its context menu. Select the context menu and then select More angles to generate images from a different viewpoint.
Either:
SeIect one of the images to use it as a starting point. You only need the image to be close to what you want, as you can use AI to edit it later. This is often more effective than generating completely different AI images.
Select the arrow button or use More angles to generate more alternatives. When you have an image you can use, select it.
Use Remove background to include or exclude the background from the design.
If you remove the background, you will get a design that has a white background layer and your clothing image on another layer. Later, you'll be able to add a background of your own choice, such as a color background or an AI background.
If you keep the background, you will get the entire AI image on a single layer in your design.
[Optional] Use Retouch to remove parts of the image. Draw over the area you want to delete. Use the slider to change the brush size. Select Confirm when you have finished.
To learn more about Retouch, see Remove unwanted objects with the Retouch tool.
[Optional] Use Resize to change the dimensions for the image. When you select Resize, the image is shown in the editor. From there, you can set a different size for the image.
[Optional] Select Change something and enter a description of the change you want and then select Change.
Either:
Select Download to download the image without making further changes to it.
Select Use this image (only required if you did not use Change something, Retouch, or Resize).
[Optional] Use the editing features to make additional changes, such as add text, shapes, and other design elements. You can also add a background of your own choice. In the video, we added an AI background.
To learn how to use the editing features, see Features and tools.
[Optional] Select Download. Enter a name for the download file and choose the image file type. Select Download.
Select Home to save your design and exit the editor.
Tip: To use the Ghost mannequin image with a Photoroom template, export it as an image file. Then import the image file as a new design and Photoroom will let you choose a template as the background. To learn how to import the image as a new design, see Start a new design (Web App).
