Present your clothing on an invisible mannequin with Photoroom's Ghost Mannequin. It's a fantastic way to promote clothing items in listings, ads, and social media campaigns.
Note: When using Ghost Mannequin, be aware that the AI may create images that are similar to your photo rather than being an exact match.

On Web App
To create an image that shows clothes on an invisible ghost mannequin:
(Video shows Photoroom on Web App. AI image generation has been speeded up).
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Ghost Mannequin.
Use the options in the sidebar to describe what you want:
Drop a file or select an image
Use to upload a picture of clothing.
Size
Use to choose the size and orientation of the image.
Apply brand style
Choose whether the brand description should influence the AI when it generates an image. The brand description comes from the Brand Kit, but you can change it here too.
Note: Any changes you make are saved to the brand description. They will affect the brand description across the entire Space.
Prompt
Use the prompt field to describe any requirements, for example, "show angled view with camera to the right".
Select Generate.
[Optional] To make changes, alter the settings and generate a new image.
[Optional] Hover the cursor over an image to display its context menu ( ... ) and then select:
Change something
Use an Edit with AI prompt to describe any changes you want the AI to make.
Other angles
Generate more images but from a different camera angle.
Generate video
Create a video from the image using the Video Generator tool.
Delete to remove the generated image.
Download to download the image to your device.
Select the image you want to use.
[Optional] Use the options to make further changes:
Remove background
Toggle the background on and off.
Tip: It can be easier to edit the image if you turn the background off. This will give you a design with the product on a separate layer, so you can easily add another background and edit the product separately.
Change something
Use an Edit with AI prompt to describe further changes.
Retouch
Use the Retouch tool to remove unwanted parts of the background. Only available when the background is present. See Remove unwanted objects with the Retouch tool.
Edit Cutout
Use the Edit Cutout tool to remove unwanted parts of the foreground. Only available when the background has been removed. See Remove and restore with Edit Cutout (Web App).
Resize
Use to change the image size and orientation.
[Optional] Select Download to download the image to your device.
Select Use this image to open the image in the editor.
[Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, for example, to add text or graphics, see Features and tools.
Select Download to save the image to your device.
Select Home to exit the editor and save the image as a design in Photoroom.
Tip: To use the Ghost mannequin image with a Photoroom template, export it as an image file. Then import the image file as a new design and Photoroom will let you choose a template as the background. To learn how to import the image as a new design, see Start a new design (Web App).
