Show clothing on an invisible ghost mannequin (Android)

Learn how to turn a clothing photo into a design that shows the clothing on an invisible mannequin, also called a ghost mannequin. Android.

Present your clothing on an invisible mannequin with Photoroom's Ghost Mannequin. It's a fantastic way to promote clothing items in listings, ads, and social media campaigns.

Note: When using Ghost Mannequin, be aware that the AI interprets the clothing in your photo. The generated images should be similar to the photo, but may not be an exact match.

On Android

To create an image that shows clothes on an invisible ghost mannequin:

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the Space you want to work in.

  3. Select AI Tools.

  4. Select Ghost Mannequin.

    If you don't see the Ghost Mannequin option, select the See more button to get a full list of the AI tools.

  5. Set the Size of the image that Photoroom will create. Choose from:

    • Square

    • Portrait (3:2 ratio)

    • Landscape (3:2 ratio).

  6. Select Add your photo and upload a clothing photo.

    Tip: You can use any product photo! This includes images that you've created with Photoroom AI features, such as Virtual Model and Flat Lay, and then exported as image files.

  7. Select the arrow button to generate 2 images.

  8. [Optional] Select the context menu for an image and select More angles to generate images from a different viewpoint.

  9. Either:

    • SeIect one of the images to use it as a starting point. You only need the image to be close to what you want, as you can use AI to edit it later. This is often more effective than generating completely different AI images.

    • Select the arrow button to generate more alternatives. When you have an image you can use, select it.

  10. [Optional] Describe any changes that you want Photoroom to make and then press the arrow button. The AI will generate a new image with your requested changes.

  11. Either:

    • Select Open in editor to open your image as a design in the main editor. Use this option if you want to make further changes, such as adding text, graphics, or a background.

      Continue from step 12.

    • Select Save to save your image as a design and download it to your device as an image file. Use this option if you want to use the image without making further changes.

      If you save the design, you have finished creating your Ghost Mannequin design. You can ignore the remaining steps.

  12. Use the editor to make further changes, such as add text, graphics, and a background.

  13. Select Export to save your design and download the image to your device. You can also use the export settings to share your design. If you have an appropriate plan, you can also turn your design into a video (see Export a design as a video).

  14. Select Done or the back arrow to exit.

Tip: To use the Ghost mannequin image with a Photoroom template, export it as an image file. Then import the image file as a new design and Photoroom will let you choose a template as the background. To learn how to import the image as a new design, see Start a new design (Android).
