Show your products in realistic scenes with Photoroom's Product Staging feature. It's designed for turning a regular photo of a product into an image that shows the product being used.
In this article, we explain how to use Product Staging on the Web App version of Photoroom. If you're using the iOS or Android version, see these articles instead:

On Web App
To use Product Staging to show a product in a realistic scene:
(Video is edited to show reduced AI generation time).
As there are many features you can use with Product Staging, we have split the instructions into stages.
Stage 1: Create a Product Staging image
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Product Staging.
If you don't see Product Staging, select See all to view all tools.
Select Product and upload a product photo.
Use Size to set the size of the design that Photoroom will generate.
[Optional] Apply a brand style:
Select the Brand kit icon.
Turn Apply brand style on to let the brand description influence the AI. Turn it off for no brand influence.
Note: Editing the brand description here updates it for the entire Space.
Select another part of the screen to close the brand settings.
[Optional] Enter a description of what you want to see in the image in the prompt field.
Select the arrow button to generate 2 images.
After generation, either:
Use a generated image. (You will get an opportunity to make further changes).
Select the arrow again to generate more images.
Change the prompt to make changes and then select the arrow again to generate new images using the new prompt.
Note: Remember each generation costs AI credits.
Stage 2: Refine the image [optional]
If an image is close to what you want, but needs changes:
Select the context menu for the image you want to use.
Tip: To display the context menu, hover the cursor over the image.
Select Edit with AI (or Change something).
Describe the changes you want in the prompt field. For example, "Close-up of the product".
Select Change to generate an updated image.
Other actions:
You can also perform these actions from the context menu:
Other angles – generate product images from different viewpoints.
Generate video – generate a short video from the image. The video feature is only available on Max and Ultra plans and works in the same way as the Video generator tool.
Download – Download the image for use elsewhere.
Delete – Remove the image.
Stage 3: Final edits and save
When you're happy with an image:
Select the image.
[Optional] Use Remove background to toggle the background on and off.
[Optional] Use Change something to describe any extra changes you want Photoroom AI to make.
[Optional] Use Retouch to remove any unwanted parts of the image. This works in the same way as Retouch when editing regular images. For details, see Remove unwanted objects with the Retouch tool.
[Optional] Use Resize to change the size of the design.
[Optional] Select Use this image to open the design in the main editor. You can then use the main editor to add text, color, lightings etc.

Select Download to download the design as an image file.
If you select Download from the Product Staging feature, the file downloads automatically.
If you select Download from the main editor, enter a file name, choose the image file type and then select Download.
Select Home to save your design and exit.
