On the Web App, you can use the Change something feature to get Photoroom to make alterations to AI-generated images. It's a quick and easy way to fine-tune AI-generated images so that they are ideal for your projects.
For example, here we used Change something with the Virtual Model feature to make the red suit have a white jacket and blue pants.
Change something is available from the context menu (dotted menu ... ) for all images generated by the AI tools on the Web App.
Change something is not available on the iOS and Android versions of Photoroom. However, they have a similar feature called Describe a change.
Note: Change something is even more accurate when it is used with the Image Transformation Tools, such as Virtual Model and Product Beautifier. With these features, it does an even better job of preserving the original image while also applying your changes. Try it out and see for yourself!
Web App
Change something is available for all AI Tools on the Web App. Here, we show how to use it with the Virtual Model feature, which is one of the Image Transformational Tools. But the same principles apply when you use it with other AI tools: you get the AI to generate an image, select the context menu for the image, select Change something and then describe the changes you want.
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the workspace you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select the AI tool that you want to use.
For the next step, you will need some AI generated images. To prepare for that, you can either:
Use the AI tool to generate images. Depending on the tool, you will either enter a prompt (text description) or both upload an image and enter a prompt.
Use one of the previously generated images. These are shown when you access the AI tool.
When you have some AI-generated suggestions, position the cursor over the AI image you want to use. Then select its context menu ( ... ) followed by Change something.
Enter a text description of the changes you want the AI to make. For example, "Change the color of the jacket to blue" or "Remove the birds from the background".
Select Change.
The AI will generate some new images and will use your changes as part of a new prompt. The accuracy of the results can vary depending on how detailed your prompt is and how the AI interprets your image.
Try using more detailed prompts to get better results.
When you have an image you are happy with, select it. Depending on which AI tool you use, you will get either:
The image as a design which you can work on in the editor
More options to further adjust the image before Photoroom turns it into a design. These can include Retouch, Resize, Remove Background, Change something, and more.
[Optional] Use the editing tools to make any extra changes, such as adding text or graphics.
[Optional] Select Download to download your design as an image file. Enter a name for the file, choose a file type and then select Download.
Select Home to save your design and exit the editor.
