Show your products in realistic scenes with Photoroom's Product Staging feature. It's designed for turning a regular photo of a product into an image that shows the product being used.
In this article, we explain how to use Product Staging on the iOS version of Photoroom. If you're using the Android or Web App version, see these articles instead:

On iPhone and iPad
To use Product Staging to show a product in a realistic scene:
(Video is edited to show reduced AI generation time).
As there are many features you can use with Product Staging, we have split the instructions into stages.
Stage 1: Create a Product Staging image
Choose the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools and then Product Staging.
If you don't see Product Staging, select See more to view all tools.
Upload a product photo.
Use Size to choose the dimensions you want.
[Optional] Apply a brand style:
Select the Brand kit icon.
Turn Apply brand style on to let the brand description influence the AI. Turn it off for no brand influence.
Note: Editing the brand description here updates it for the entire Space.
Select X to close the brand settings.
[Optional] Enter a description of what you want to see in the image in the prompt field.
Select the arrow button to generate 2 images.
After generation, either:
Use a generated image. (You will get an opportunity to make further changes).
Select the arrow again to generate more images.
Change the prompt to make changes and then select the arrow again to generate new images using the new prompt.
Note: Remember each generation costs AI credits.
Stage 2: Refine the image [optional]
If an image is close to what you want, but needs changes:
Select the context menu for the image you want to use.
Select Edit with AI.
Describe the changes you want in the prompt field. For example, "Close-up of the product".
Select the arrow button to generate an updated image.
Other actions:
You can also perform these actions from the context menu:
Other angles – generate product images from different viewpoints
Save – Download the image for use elsewhere
Delete – Remove the image.
Stage 3: Final edits and save
When you're happy with an image:
Select the image.
[Optional] Select Video to generate a short video from the image. The video feature is only available on Max and Ultra plans and works in the same way as the Video generator tool.
[Optional] Select Other angles to get more images showing different viewpoints.
[Optional] Use the prompt field to describe further changes and then select the arrow button to generate.
[Optional] Select Open in editor to open the design in the main editor.
Background removal starts automatically.
If removal completes, your product appears on its own layer.
If you select Skip background removal, the image stays on a single layer.
[Optional] Use the main editor to add text, color, lighting effects, etc. To learn about the editing features, see the articles in Features and Tools.
Select Save to download the design as an image file.
Select Close design or X to save and exit.
