On the Web App version of Photoroom, each product in your Product Catalog is given a listing score. This score helps you understand how complete and well-optimised your product listing is, and how ready it is to be discovered and sold online.
You can see the listing score below each product in the Product Catalog.
You can also see it in the Product Catalog Editor:
Listing score is shown at the top right
Access the listing score from the Shopify side-panel.
What is the listing score and why does it matter?
The listing score shows whether your product listing includes all the essential information needed to perform well in search results and attract buyers.
It is based on a few key elements of your product listing, including:
Title
Description
SEO-friendly image file names
Alt text for images
Number of images in the product listing
A higher score means your listing is more complete and better optimised. In practice, this increases the chances that your product will:
Be easier for shoppers to find in search results
Look more professional and trustworthy
Give buyers enough information and visuals to feel confident purchasing
Improving your listing score helps turn incomplete product pages into fully optimised listings that are more likely to be seen and bought.
How to improve your listing score
Photoroom provides recommendations directly in the Shopify panel to help you improve your listing score. From there, you can quickly:
Add AI Shots based on a product image
Include an SEO-friendly title and description
You should also use the SEO & metadata settings to ensure your product images have:
SEO-friendly file names
Alt text that describes what is shown in the image
You can write your own product title, description, image filenames, and alt text, or use Photoroom to generate them automatically. Auto-generated content gives you a ready-to-use draft that you can publish immediately or refine later.
