Apply a template to product images (Web App)

How to apply a template to one or more images when using Photoroom for Shopify. Web App.

You can apply a template to your product images in the Product editor. Templates are designs that have replaceable layers, and you can apply them to other images to reduce repetitive editing work. For example, in the image below, a template with a gray and white background and a sale graphic is applied to 2 out of 3 product images.

Typically, a template contains a background, one or more layers (text, graphics, logos), and a replaceable layer. When you apply a template, Photoroom adds the template layers to each image and swaps the the replaceable layers for the main subject.

Note: This article describes applying a template to product images when using the Product catalog and Product editor. We assume that you have already connected Photoroom to your store and have listings in your Product catalog.


Steps (Web App)

To apply a template to a product's images:

  1. Select the images you want to apply the template to.

  2. Select Templates.

  3. Choose one of the templates.
    Photoroom applies your chosen template to the selected images.
    ​
    ​Note: If there are no templates shown, it means nobody has created a template yet. To learn about templates, see Templates.
    ​

  4. [Optional] Make additional changes using the Product editor, such as adding text or graphics.

  5. When you have finished editing, publish your changes.
