Use the Position settings to control the position and padding of Shopify images. Position is available from the toolbar in the Shopify Products editor.

3 images of a dress. One is left aligned, one is central, one is right aligned.

  • Photoroom for Shopify must be connected to your Shopify store

  • Publishing to Shopify requires a Max or Ultra subscription

  • Only uses AI credits if the image already has an AI edit applied, such as an AI Background or AI Shadow.

Steps (iOS)

To change the positioning and padding of Shopify images:

  1. Select Position.

  2. Select the positioning to apply to all of the images in the product listing:

    • Original to reset the position and padding.

    • Center to position the product centrally. Use the settings to control the padding:

      • Padding - Drag the box or enter a value to set the space between the product and the edge of the design.

      • Ignore padding on cropped sides - Turn on to ignore padding if the image touches the edges of the canvas. Turn off to always apply padding.

    • Custom to set your own position padding:

      • Padding left, right, top, bottom - change spacing on each side.

      • Align - choose the image position.

      • Scale - choose the image size (only if Ignore padding on cropped sides if off):

        • Fit - fits the image without cropping

        • Fill - fills the space but may crop the image.

  3. Select the checkmark symbol to apply your chosen padding and alignment.

  4. [Optional] Make additional changes using the Shopify Products editor.

  5. When you have finished editing, publish your changes to Shopify.

Tip: If the product appears misaligned, try turning Ignore padding on cropped sides off.
