How to use Product Packaging

How to use the Product Packaging tool to create AI-generated "mock up" packaging images.

Written by Craig Wright

Product Packaging is an AI tool that turns a text description of your product and brand into concept images of what the packaging could look like. You can use the generated images as inspiration when you come to design your actual packaging.

Two images showing a box and bag for packaging, both aimed at the luxury goods market.

Note: Product Packaging is to show you what your packaging could look like. It is not for creating print-ready packaging designs.

How it works:

  1. You enter a prompt that describes your brand, the type of products you sell, the color scheme, what types of packaging you want in the image.

  2. You use the settings to set the other parameters, such as size and style.

  3. Photoroom generates product packaging images based on your prompt.

For step-by-step instructions, see Create Product Packaging images (Web App).

Choose a style of packaging:

  • Random
Generates a variety of packaging looks instead of using a single style.

  • Eco-friendly
Uses natural materials and earthy tones.

  • Luxury
Adds premium finishes, such as gold accents and use elegant typefaces.

  • Vintage
Packaging with a retro look, aged textures, and classic typefaces.

  • Minimalist
Clean and simple, with lots of white/negative space.

  • Bold patterns
Strong graphical elements and geographic patterns.

  • Pop Art
Bright, saturated, and with comic-style visuals.

  • Floral
    Plant and flower motifs.

  • Metallic
    Reflective, foil, or metal-look finishes.

  • Transparent
    Clear, see-through, translucent packaging.

Size

Use to set the dimensions of the image. Choose from the list of available square, portrait, and landscape sizes.
