How to use Upscale (exporting)

How to use the Upscale option when exporting or downloading images in the Batch editor and Product Catalog editor.

If you export images in the Batch editor or the Product Catalog editor, there is an option to Upscale before the export. It lets you increase the resolution of the images so they are better suited for use at a larger size.

Note: The Upscale option is on trial and is being gradually rolled out. If you don't see it, it is likely coming soon.

Availability

  • Upscale in Batch and Product Catalog requires a paid subscription.

  • Requires AI credits.

The Upscale feature for downloading Batch or Product Catalog images has these settings:

  • Scale

Scale

Use Scale to choose the amount of upscaling. Choose from:

  • Multiplies resolution by 4, up to the maximum limit. Takes longest to generate.

  • Multiplies resolution by 3, up to the maximum limit.

  • Multiplies resolution by 2, up to the maximum limit. Has the shortest generation time.

Be aware that when you add an image to a Batch or Product Catalog, Photoroom can shrink the image. When you use Scale, it multiplies the resolution of the image in Photoroom, not necessarily the image's original size.

Tip: When setting the scale, choose the scale for the resolution you need. Going for a scale that produces a much higher resolution will take longer to generate and offers no benefit if you don't need such a large size.
