Use the Text tool to generate an image containing a stylized graphic based on text you provide. ​

Note: The Text tool turns text into an image. It is not for adding text to an existing image and it does not work as a prompt (for that, use the <a href="https://help.photoroom.com/en/articles/16002753">Create any image</a> tool).

To use the Text tool follow the instructions below (divided into separate stages).

Select the <a href="https://help.photoroom.com/en/articles/9183630-how-do-spaces-work">Space</a> you want to work in.

Select Text. ​ If you can't see the Text option, select See all to view a list of all the tools. ​

1. Select the <a href="https://help.photoroom.com/en/articles/9183630-how-do-spaces-work">Space</a> you want to work in.
2. Select AI tools.
3. Select Text. ​ If you can't see the Text option, select See all to view a list of all the tools. ​

Stage 2: Choose your settings and generate

Use the settings to enter the text you want, choose a style and size. For details on each setting, see <a href="https://help.photoroom.com/en/articles/16615136-how-to-use-the-text-tool">How to use the Text tool</a>.

Select the arrow button or Generate. Each generation uses AI credits. Photoroom generates 2 images based on the text you provided. ​

[Optional] To try alternatives, change any setting and Generate again.

2. Select the arrow button or Generate. Each generation uses AI credits. Photoroom generates 2 images based on the text you provided. ​
3. [Optional] To try alternatives, change any setting and Generate again.

To create more variations from a generated image, select its context menu and use the Generate more or Edit with AI options. The context menu options are shared across AI tools and you can learn about them in <a href="https://help.photoroom.com/en/articles/15434811-context-menu-options-for-ai-images">Context menu options for AI tools</a>. ​

Select a generated image to open the review and edit screen.

Review the result, make any final changes, or open it in the main editor for manual edits such as adding text or graphics. ​ For information on everything you can do here, see <a href="https://help.photoroom.com/en/articles/15422254-review-and-edit-an-ai-image">Review and edit an AI image</a>. ​

When you are happy with the image, save it.

1. Select a generated image to open the review and edit screen.

3. When you are happy with the image, save it.

You can now use your downloaded file in other applications. Your design is available in the Space's Content in Photoroom.
