In this article, we provide step-by-step instructions for using an AI Background prompt from your Brand Library in a design.

Important: When you apply an AI Background from your Brand Library, Photoroom reuses the prompt, not the image. It generates a new background from that prompt, so the lighting and colors match your foreground layers and the result looks realistic.

Before you start

If your Brand Library does not have an AI Background, you will need to add one. For details, see Save an AI Background to your Brand Library (Android).

Steps (Android)

To use an AI Background from your Brand Library in a design:

  1. Select the Space that you want to work in.

  2. Select Content.

  3. Select the design you want to edit.

Note: Alternatively, Create a new design and open it in the editor.

  4. Select Backgrounds.

  5. Select Image.

    Important:
You need to select Image and not AI Backgrounds.

  6. Pick an AI Background from the Space's Brand Library (Backgrounds section).

The Backgrounds section contains the Brand Library AI Backgrounds and static image backgrounds. There is no way to differentiate between the two until you pick one.

    • If you pick an AI Background, Photoroom will apply the AI Background and give you the option to Regenerate.

    • If you pick a static image background, Photoroom will apply that background. It is not an AI Background. You can ignore step 7.

  7. Select Regenerate.
Photoroom regenerates the AI Background using the prompt from the Brand Library. This results in a similar background, that is adjusted to look more realistic with your image.

  8. [Optional] To use a different background, select Change background and then pick the background you want.

  9. [Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, such as adding shadows for extra realism or adding text.

  10. Select Export to save your design. You can choose to save the design to your device or share it with other people.

  11. Select Close design to exit the editor.
