When you export an image from Photoroom, there are limits on the resolution of the image. The limits vary depending on what plan you are on (free or Pro) and also how you are exporting the images.

For details on the resolution limits, see:

On iPhone and iPad

On iPhone and iPad, our current export limits are:

Plan

Export Limit

Free

2400 × 2400 pixels*

Photoroom Pro

HD: 4032 × 4032 pixels **

*We are working on increasing the resolution limit further.

** Requires image export size to be set in Preferences.

If you are on the Pro plan, you can set the image export size in Photoroom:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

  2. Select Preferences.

  3. Scroll down to the Image Import Size settings and choose:

    • Optimize for app performance

Choose this option for 2400 × 2400 pixels

    • Optimize for image quality

Choose this option for 4032 × 4032 pixels

Note: The export resolution will also depend on the template you select.

  • If you only want a white background, select the white background template from "Classics" to ensure a high resolution. You can also use the three dots at the top to resize your template.

  • If you use other templates besides "Classics", the export resolution will be lower.
