Photoroom includes a variety of pre-made templates that you can use, such as templates for social media sites and templates for special events. But you can also create your own custom templates too. These could save you a lot of time if you need to add information, such as a sales banner, to many images.

To learn how to create your own custom templates, select the link for your device:

On iPhone and iPad

To create a template on an iPhone or iPad:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. On the Create page, select Start from Photo. Choose to import an image that is typical of the images you would use with a template. For example, if you are going to make a "Sale" template for a shop, choose an image of one of your products.

Alternatively, you could select Your Content and choose one of your existing designs to work with.

  2. If you imported a new image, choose a template, for example, the White template.

  3. Edit your design.

    Use:

    1. Layers to move an object backwards or forwards. Press and hold the layer name and then drag it up or down in the list. You can also select a layer to access the editing settings for the object on that layer.

    2. Insert to add extra images, shapes, graphics, logos, and effects to your design. You can choose from our library of designs, your camera roll, or select camera to take a new photo. You can also use Files to upload an image from your device.

    3. Text to add words to your design.

    4. Resize to change the canvas size of your design.

    5. Backgrounds to change the background.

    6. Shadows to apply shading effects.

  4. When you are happy with your design, select the main foreground object(s) from your imported photo and then select the bin icon above it. This deletes the object.

  5. Select Export. Use the export options to save your design and then select Done.

  6. In the Your Designs section (of the Your Content page), find your new design and select the circle with the three dots in the top-right corner.
