Apply a template to multiple images in Batch Mode

Learn how to use Batch Mode to apply a custom design to many images at once

Photoroom's Batch Mode lets you add a template to multiple images at once. This could be a template from the Photoroom library or a custom template that you have created.

This feature is especially useful for adding the same design to similar images. For example, adding a seasonal background or a sales banner to a collection of images.


On iPhone and iPad

There are two ways to apply a template to multiple images on iPhone and iPad:

Select a template and apply it

To select a custom template and apply it to multiple images:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

  2. In the Your Templates section, select the template that you want to use.

  3. Select Apply to images.

  4. Choose the images to import into Photoroom. When they import, Photoroom applies the template to them.

  5. If you need to edit the images, select the first image and edit it. When you have finished editing, you can either:

    • Select the back arrow icon < and then select Apply to batch. This will make the same changes to all of the images you imported in step 4.

    • Select Next to display the next image in the batch. This way allows you to edit each image manually.

  6. Select Export and use the options to save and share your designs.

Create a batch of images and apply a template

To create a batch of images and then apply your template to the batch:

  1. On the Create page, select Batch.

  2. In the Your Templates section, select the template that you want to use.

  3. Select Apply to images.

  4. Choose the images to import into Photoroom. When they import, Photoroom applies the template to them.

  5. If you need to edit the images, select the first image and edit it. When you have finished editing, you can either:

    • Select the left-facing arrow icon < and then select Apply to batch. This will make the same changes to all of the images in the batch.

    • Select Next to display the next image in the batch. This way allows you to edit each image manually.

  6. Select Export and use the options to save and share your designs.


On Android

There are two ways to apply a template to multiple images on android devices:

To select a custom template and apply it to multiple images:

  1. On the Create page, select Your Content.

  2. In the Your Templates section, select the template that you want to use.

  3. Select Apply to multiple images.

  4. Choose the images to import into Photoroom. When they import, Photoroom applies the template to them.

  5. If you need to edit the images, select the first image and edit it. When you have finished editing, you can either:

    • Select the back arrow icon < and then select Apply to batch. This will make the same changes to all of the images you imported in step 4.

    • Select Next to display the next image in the batch. This way allows you to edit each image manually.

  6. Select Export and use the options to save and share your designs.

Create a batch of images and apply a template

  1. On the Create page, select Batch. (A batch is a collection of images).

  2. Select Start New Batch.

  3. Select the images you want to include in the batch and then select the Add images button.

  4. In the Your Templates section, select the template you want to use. Photoroom applies the template to the images in the batch.

  5. If you need to edit the images, select the first image and edit it. When you have finished editing, you can either:

    • Select the back arrow icon < and then select Apply to batch. This will make the same changes to all of the images in the batch.

    • Select Next to display the next image in the batch. This way allows you to edit each image manually.

  6. Select Export and use the options to save and share your designs.


On the Web App

There are two ways to apply a template to multiple images on the web app (desktop):

Select a template and apply it

To select a template and apply it to multiple images:

  1. Select Templates in the Your Content section.

  2. Select the template that you want to use.

  3. Select Apply to multiple images.

  4. Choose the images to import into Photoroom. When they import, Photoroom applies the template to them.

  5. If you need to edit the images:

    1. Select the image.

    2. Edit the image.

    3. Select Batch mode.

    4. Repeat this sub-process until you have edited all of the images.

  6. Select Download your images to download a local copy of your designs.

Create a batch of images and apply a template

To create a batch of images and apply a template:

  1. Select Batch. (A batch is a collection of images).

  2. Select the Select up to 50 images button.

  3. Select the images you want to include in the batch.

  4. Use Select template to choose a template to apply to your batch of images. You can choose a custom template or any of the templates from the Photoroom library. Photoroom applies the template to the images in the batch.

  5. If you need to edit the images:

    1. Select the image.

    2. Edit the image.

    3. Select Batch mode.

    4. Repeat this sub-process until you have edited all of the images.

  6. Select Download your images to download a local copy of your designs.
