With Photoroom's free Signature Maker tool, you can create a digital version of your signature from a photo.

To use Signature Maker on a computer:

(Video shows Photoroom Signature Maker and Web App version of Photoroom)

  1. Write your signature on a piece of paper. Make sure there is a strong contrast between your writing and the paper color, for example, use black ink on white paper.

  2. Use a smart phone or digital camera to take a photo of your signature.

Note: You will need the photo as a .jpeg or .png image.

  3. Transfer your .jpeg or .png photo from your phone or camera to your computer.

  4. On your computer, visit www.photoroom.com/tools.

  5. Scroll down the page and select the Signature Maker tool.

  6. Select Select a picture and then choose your signature photo image.

Your browser will open the Web App version of Photoroom.

  7. If you already have an account, log in. If you do not have one, create an account and then log in.

When you log in, your signature image should be shown in the editor. If it is not shown, select Start from Photo and then choose your image. When it has uploaded, choose the Transparent template (it is in the Classics collection).

  8. Select Download.

  9. Choose the image format that you want and then select Download. Your signature image downloads in the browser and is also stored as a Design in Photoroom.

Note: If you are a free user, the signature image has the default size and a Photoroom logo. With a Pro account, you can use the Resize feature to change the image size and there is no Photoroom logo.

To upgrade to Pro, see Subscribe to Photoroom pro.
