Breathe new life into low-resolution photos with Photoroom's Upscale tool. Using AI, it increases the resolution of your images, making them sharper, more detailed, and better suited for scaling to larger sizes.
Upscale is available on the Pro and Business plan. It is currently being progressively rolled out to customers on iOS using Photoroom version 606 or later. If you are using version 606 or later and do not have the Upscale tool, it should become available during August.
We are working on adding Upscale to Android and web app versions of Photoroom soon.
On iPhone and iPad
To upscale a photo on the iPhone or iPad version of Photoroom:
On the Create page, select Upscale.
Upload the photo you want to upscale.
Select Enhance. This will create a sharper, higher resolution version of your image without adding AI-generated creative elements to it.

Use the Before and After slider to compare the old version to the new version.
Select Use image.
Note: If you don't want the changes, select Reset. You may find that you get better results using Transform or Reimagine. These use AI to upscale and redesign your image (for details, see Upscale and redesign).
[Optional] Use the editing settings to make further changes to your design. For more details, see Introduction to editing in Photoroom.
Select Export. Use the export settings to save and share your design. For more details, see Export a design.
