Upgrade from Pro to Max

To upgrade from Pro to Max:

  4. Select the tab for the billing plan you want (Monthly or Yearly).

Photoroom will update your subscription. It uses the same payment details that were in place for your Pro subscription.

If you upgrade from Pro to Max, you will pay:

  • Nothing right now.

  • The full price for Max at the renewal time. This is the same billing cycle that you had for your Pro subscription.

  • The price for your use of Max previously (during your Pro subscription). We will refund you the unused part of your previous Pro subscription.

Example:

Please note, the prices used below are for example purposes only and do not reflect accurate pricing for Photoroom subscriptions.

  • January 1st 2025:
You pay $100 for a yearly Pro subscription.

  • July 1st 2025:
You upgrade from yearly Pro to yearly Max ($300 per year). At this point, there is no charge for Max.

  • January 1st 2026:

    • $300 for the renewal of the yearly Max subscription.

    • $150 for the 6 months of Max you have already used (from July 1st 2025 to Jan 1st 2026)

    • -$50. You get a $50 refund as you had 6 months of unused Pro on your previous subscription.

Downgrade from Max to Pro

To downgrade from Max to Pro, you need to cancel your Max subscription. When you cancel Max, we immediately switch your account to the free plan. From there, you can upgrade to Pro.

  1. We switch your account to the free plan and give you credits for any remaining time on your Max subscription. You can use the credits towards the cost of your next Photoroom subscription.

  2. When you are on the free plan, log in to Photoroom at app.photoroom.com.

  3. Select Upgrade to Pro.

  4. Select the tab for the billing plan you want (Monthly or Yearly).
