Photoroom has export limits to help us manage server load, especially during periods of high demand.

The export limits:

  • Only apply in Free Spaces

  • Apply to all users in Free Spaces.

For example, a Pro user working in a Pro Space has unlimited exports, but if they work in a Free Space the export limits apply.

Note: If you are working in a Pro Space or Max Space, you get unlimited exports.

Tip: You can check which space you are currently working in by selecting the Space menu.

Side by side images. Image 1 shows Photoroom home page on mobile. An arrow points at the Space menu at the top. Image 2 shows the pop-up menu with a list of the different Spaces. There is a check next to the current Space.

What happens if you reach your export limit?

If you reach the export limit, Photoroom will notify you in the mobile app or on the Web App.

To continue exporting, you can upgrade the space to Pro or Max or you can wait until the export limit resets.

When do export limits reset?

Export limits reset monthly. The reset happens on the 1st day of calendar month at approximately 00:00 based on the clock on your device.

Are unused exports carried over to the next period?

No. Every reset is a completely new period and any unused exports from the previous period are lost.

Unlimited exports and fair usage

Users in Pro and Max Spaces can export without limits, subject to fair use. You’re free to make unlimited exports as long as you follow our terms and conditions.

Specifically, you must not:

  • Abuse the Photoroom system by using automated tools or scripts to extract data

  • Resell your subscription

  • Share your login details with others

  • Allow anyone else to use your account.

If our systems detect abuse, we may temporarily restrict your usage. If this happens, we will contact you.
