Learn about the export (download) limits for the different Photoroom plans

Photoroom has limits on the amount of designs you can export (download or share). These limits help us to manage server load and reflect the advanced nature of some of our AI-powered tools.

The export limits can vary depending on:

  • The type of designs you export (those that use AI features vs. those that do not).

  • Your subscription plan (free, Pro, or Max)

  • Your workspace (personal workspace vs. team workspace).

In this article, we explain how all of these limits work for each different subscription plan.

Note: Export limits may also be affected by system conditions and usage during high periods of demand.

Export limits on the free plan

The free plan has the lowest export limits. It is designed for people who want to try using Photoroom or who only need basic features for a low number of images.

For your personal workspace:

Export type

Limit

Designs that use AI features

Low weekly limit.

Designs that do not use AI features

Monthly limit, counted across all workspaces.

For team workspaces:

Export type

Designs that use AI features

Low weekly limit shared between the entire team.

Designs that do not use AI features

Limit per user.

If you reach the limits, Photoroom will let you know (see What happens when you reach your export limit?).

To continue exporting, you can upgrade to Pro or Max or you can wait until the export limit resets.

Export limits on the Pro plan

The Pro plan is designed for lighter usage — typically for users who edit a few dozen images per week.

For your personal workspace:

Designs that do not use AI features

Unlimited (fair usage limits apply).

For team workspaces:

If you reach the limits, Photoroom will let you know (see What happens when you reach your export limit?).

To continue exporting, you can upgrade to Max or you can wait until the export limit resets.

Export limits on the Max plan

The Max plan is built for higher-volume users, such as:

  • Small-to-medium businesses (SMBs)

  • Professional sellers who need to process a large number of images regularly.

The Max plan has much higher export limits than the Pro plan (approximately 3×).

For your personal workspace:

Export type

Designs that use AI features

Large weekly limit per paying user.

Designs that do not use AI features

Unlimited (fair usage limits apply).

For team workspaces:
