Downgrade a subscription

Learn how to downgrade your subscription to a lower-tier plan or a free plan.

If your business has changed and you no longer need the high AI credits and batch export limits in your subscription, you can downgrade.

If you downgrade:

  • You will lose the benefits of your current plan, such as higher AI credits, higher export limits, faster processing, and access to better AI models.

  • The downgrade does not happen instantly. You remain on your current plan until it expires. When it is time to renew, you are downgraded and will be billed for a lower tier plan instead.

Note: Downgrades are related to the plan you are on, not the billing cycle or plan duration (weekly, monthly, yearly). For example, switching from a monthly Max plan to a yearly Pro plan is still a downgrade, because Pro is a lower tier to Max.


On iPhone and iPad

To downgrade your subscription, you must be the Admin for the Space.

  1. On your device, go to the App Store, select your profile, and then Subscriptions.

  2. Select your Photoroom subscription.

  3. Select See All Plans.

  4. Select the plan you want and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the downgrade.

You remain on your current subscription until it expires (on renewal date). At that point, your subscription changes to the lower tier plan. You are billed for the price of the lower tier plan.


On Android

To downgrade your subscription, you must be the Admin for the Space.

  1. On your device, go to the Play Store, select your profile, and then Payments and subscriptions.

  2. Select Subscriptions.

  3. Select your Photoroom subscription.

  4. Select the plan you want and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the downgrade.

You remain on your current subscription until it expires (on renewal date). At that point, your subscription changes to the lower tier plan. You are billed for the price of the lower tier plan.


On Web App

To downgrade your subscription, you must be the Admin for the Space.

  1. Select the Space you want to downgrade.

  2. Select Manage Space.

  3. Select Billing (in the settings for your selected Space, not Your billing).

  4. Select Change plan.

  5. Choose the plan you want.

  6. Choose your payment schedule.

  7. Select Downgrade to confirm.

You remain on your current subscription until it expires (on renewal date). At that point, your subscription changes to the lower tier plan. You are billed for the price of the lower tier plan.
