In this article, we explain how to upgrade your Personal Space on the Android version of Photoroom. Your Personal Space is the first Space created for your account. It keeps its Personal Space status even if you share it with others.

Note: This article covers upgrading a Personal Space to Pro and Max. If you are looking for instructions on upgrading a Team Space, see Upgrade a Space (Web App). For instructions on upgrading from Max to Ultra, see Upgrade to Ultra.

On Android

To upgrade the first Space in your Photoroom account (your "Personal Space"):

  1. This step only applies if you have multiple Spaces.

    1. Select the Space menu.

close-up of Home screen on Android. The Space menu is highlighted.

    2. Select your Personal Space. It is usually the Space at the top of the Other spaces list, unless it is the Space you are currently in.

  2. Select the plan badge in the top corner, for example, Get Pro.

Close-up of Home screen on Android. The plan badge is highlighted.

Note: If Photoroom displays an Upgrade to unlock more screen, it is because the Space is a Team Space. You can only upgrade Team Spaces on the Web App version of Photoroom. Select Send email and we will send you an email containing instructions. You can also find instructions in Upgrade a Space (Web App).

  3. Either:

    • Select the tab for the plan you want.

    • Select Unlock more.

  4. Select the payment plan you want and then select Continue.

  5. Select your payment method.

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to upgrade through the Google Play Store.

When you upgrade on Android:

  • The upgrade is available as soon as your payment has cleared.

  • You pay a reduced price. It is calculated as:

Full price of new plan - unused portion of your current plan (prorated) = price.

  • When the new plan is due for renewal, you will pay the full subscription price.

If you have upgraded and you cannot access the features of your new plan, see Unable to access subscription features.
