If you have paid for the Pro, Max, or Ultra plan but cannot access the Pro/Max/Ultra features, complete the checks described in this article.

There are several common reasons for loss of access, including working in a free Space and issues relating to payment.

Update to the latest version of Photoroom

If you are running an older version of the Photoroom app or Photoroom Web App, features may be unavailable. Update your Photoroom and then try to access the paid subscription features.

Update screen in App Store for updating Photoroom on Apple devices.

For instructions on updating, see Update to the latest version of Photoroom.

If you update and still cannot access the paid features, continue with the checks in the sections below.

Make sure you are working in a suitable Space

To enjoy the features and limits of your subscription plan, you must be working in the Space that’s associated with your plan. For example, if you have a Pro subscription but you are working in a Free Team Space, you will only have access to the free features.

To check the type of Space you’re in:

  1. Log in to Photoroom.

If you are using the Web App, you can log in at https://app.photoroom.com.

  2. Look at the label that is shown next to the Space. This is the type of Space you are currently in.

Close-up of user interface on iPhone. An arrow points to the Pro icon next to the Space name.

  3. Select the Space menu and look at the labels next to your Spaces:

side-by-side images. Image 1 shows Photoroom home page. An arrow points to the Space menu at the top. Image 2 shows a pop-up where the spaces are listed and there are labels next to the Pro and Max spaces.

    • Free teams have no label

    • Pro

    • Max

    • Ultra

  4. Switch to a Space that has a Pro/Max/Ultra label.

  5. If you only see free Spaces, complete the other checks in this article (see below).

Check your subscription details

If your subscription is not working, check that it is active.

On iPhone and iPad

To check your subscription details:

  1. Run the Photoroom app and log in.

  2. Select your Space.

Close-up of Photoroom user interface. An arrow points to the Space menu at the top.

  3. Select Manage account.

  4. Select Manage Subscription.

  5. Select Change Plan.

  6. Select your Photoroom subscription and make sure it is valid. If you don't see a Photoroom subscription, your Apple account has not been used to subscribe to Photoroom.

If you have a valid subscription, continue with the other checks in this article.

If you don't have a valid subscription, check your emails and payment receipts from the Apple store. You will need to find out which Apple account you used to purchase Photoroom.

If you didn't purchase a subscription or the subscription has expired, you will need to subscribe again.

To check your subscription details:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.

  2. Select your profile icon.

  3. Select Payments and subscriptions.

  4. Select Subscriptions.

  5. Look for your Photoroom subscription.

If you see a Photoroom subscription and it is active, continue with the other checks in this article.

  4. Look for your current Photoroom subscription.

If you see a Photoroom subscription and it is active, continue with the other checks in this article.

If you don't see a Photoroom subscription, you do not have an active web subscription with the account you used to log in.

If you didn't purchase a subscription or the subscription has expired, you will need to subscribe again.

Associate your Photoroom login with your subscription

This section is for people who have a mobile subscription.

If you can see an active Photoroom subscription in your App Store or Google Play Store account, you have a valid subscription. But it may not be associated with the user details you are using to log in to Photoroom.

To fix that, you can restore your subscription. This will get Photoroom to check your subscription and then associate it with your Photoroom login. For instructions, see Restore your Pro subscription.

Check your payment details

Pro/Max accounts will stop providing access to Photoroom features if your subscription has expired or if your payment failed. Please check your payment details are correct and up-to-date.
