Payment process for upgrades and downgrades

Learn about how the payment process works if you upgrade or downgrade your subscription.

When you upgrade a Photoroom subscription, your new subscription starts as soon as the payment clears. Depending on how you subscribed, you are either:

  • Refunded a prorated amount for any time remaining on your previous subscription

  • Charged a reduced amount for the new subscription (subscription price minus a prorated amount for time remaining on your previous subscription).

For downgrades, it works differently. You will remain on your current subscription plan until it is due to renew. At that point, you are switched to the lower plan and charged for the lower plan subscription.
