Replace a layer (Web App)

Learn how to swap out a layer for a different image. Web App.

Use Replace to swap a layer for a different image. The new image is added as a layer and the original layer is removed. For example, in the image below, we replaced the clothing model with a different model (we also altered the background color).

Note: If you replace the same layers regularly, consider creating a template instead (see Templates).

On Web App

To replace a layer:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. In Designs, select the design you want to edit.

  3. Click on the gray area surrounding the canvas of your design to display the layers stack order.

  4. Select the layer you want to replace.

  5. Select Replace.

  6. Choose a replacement image. Either:

    • Upload a photo

    • Generate an image with AI

    • Select an image from one of the categories, such as Brand kit, Shapes, Graphics.

  7. [Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, such as edit the replacement layer or add text, graphics, and other elements.

  8. [Optional] Select Download to download your design as an image file in the browser. Enter a name for the download folder, choose an image file format, and then select Download to confirm.

  9. Select the Home button to save your design and exit the editor.
