To remove an object from a design, delete the layer that contains it. Each foreground layer has its own Delete option, which you can access from the layer's context menu.

Deleting a layer removes everything on it. If a layer contains multiple objects and you only want to remove some, use Edit Cutout instead. For instructions, see Remove and restore with Edit Cutout (Android).

Note: This article explains how to delete a layer on the Android version of Photoroom. If you are using the iOS or Web App version, see:

On Android

To delete a layer:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. Select Content.

  3. Select the design you want to edit.

  4. Select Layers.

  5. Select the layer you want to remove.

  6. Select the layer's context menu ( ... ) and then select Delete.

Note: Alternatively, you can select the trash can icon instead of the context menu.

  7. [Optional] Use the editor settings to make further changes, such as add text or graphics.
