Use the Shopify Product editor's Position feature to create more balanced product image designs. It lets you:
Fine-tune where your product sits in the image
Control how much space surrounds the product.
Availability
Photoroom for Shopify must be connected to your Shopify store
Publishing to Shopify requires a Max or Ultra subscription.
Steps (Web App)
To change the positioning and padding of Shopify images:
Select the product images you want to edit.
To learn about selecting images, see How to select images using the Shopify Products editor.
Choose the position for the main product in your images:
Original - Leaves the position unchanged.
Center - Place the main product in the center of the canvas.
Custom - Adjust alignment and sizing manually.
If you chose Original, you can ignore the remaining steps.
Control how Photoroom uses padding.
Turn Ignore padding on cropped sides on to ignore padding on any images where the content touches the edges of the canvas.
Turn Ignore padding on cropped sides off to use padding on all images.
Set the Padding for each side of the image. The shaded area in the preview is the padding.
Use Align to set the position of the main object in your image. Choose a position from the list.
Use Scale to set the proportions of the content. Scale is only available when Ignore padding on cropped sides is off.
Fill - Sizes the content to fill the available space.
Fit - Makes the content fit within the available space.
[Optional] Make additional changes using the Shopify Products editor.
When you have finished editing, publish your changes to Shopify.
Tip: If the product appears misaligned, try turning Ignore padding on cropped sides off.
