Use Photoroom’s Product Staging feature to place your products into realistic scenes. When used in Batch, it generates new images that show your products in real-life settings.

Before and after images. Before shows a shoe product photo. After is two images showing the shoe being worn by a woman in a yoga studio.

Availability

Each generation uses AI credits.

Steps (iOS)

To create Product Staging images for one or more images in Batch, follow the instructions below. Some stages are optional.

(Video is edited to reduce AI generation times).

Stage 1: Access the Product Staging tool in Batch

  1. Start a new batch or resume a previous one, see Create a batch of images (iOS).

  2. Select AI Tools.

  3. Select Product Staging.

Important: Make sure you select AI Tools > Product Staging from inside the Batch editor. If you're outside the Batch editor, the standalone Product Staging feature will open instead.

Stage 2: Use the Product Staging settings

Use the Product Staging settings to define what you want:

  1. Select the image(s) you want to use as a starting point.

  2. Use the prompt to describe what you want, for example, "Show the chairs in a modern, well-lit living room. Do not include humans."

  3. Choose a Size.

  4. Choose whether the Brand description should influence the prompt.

Note: The Brand description is stored in the Brand kit for the Space. If you edit the Brand description in Batch, it will affect the Brand description across the Space.

  5. Select the arrow button to generate.

    Each generation uses AI credits.

Photoroom generates new images based on your prompt and settings.

Tip: Be specific in your prompt (for example, “show product on display in a luxury store window” or “make fabric look smoother”) to get more accurate results. For more guidance, see Write more effective prompts for AI.

Stage 3: Edit your Batch images

The editing steps in this stage are optional.

  1. To turn a Batch image into a template, long press on the image and then select Save as template. You can edit it in the Templates folder for the Space.

  2. To create another copy of a Batch image, long press on the image and select Duplicate.

  3. To delete a Batch image, long press on it and select Delete.

  4. To edit a Batch image in the main editor:

    1. Select the image to open it in the editor.

    2. Use the main editor to make changes, such as adding text or graphics.

    3. Select X to exit the editor and return to the Batch editor.

    4. Choose whether you want to apply your edits to all images or only the image(s) you edited (see How does "Apply recent edits to all" work?).

Stage 4: Export your images

When you are finished editing:

  1. Select Export images.

Photoroom saves the images to your device's camera roll. You can also save them to Files and share them with other people.

  2. Select Close batch to exit the Batch editor.
