Each batch image consists of one or more layers. Typically, there are at least 2 layers: a background layer and a foreground layer. You can move layers in front of other layers or behind them to create more visually interesting and effective images.
Moving a layer in front of another layer or behind it is sometimes called changing the layer order or changing the stack order. To learn how to do it, follow the instructions below.
Steps (Web App)
To change the order of layers on batch images, follow the instructions below.
Select one of the images to display its pill menu.
Note: You need to select the image tile, not a layer on the image.
Select the More actions icon which is an ellipsis ( ... ).
Select Layers.
Photoroom displays a layers dialog. It shows each layer in a list, with the lowest layer being the background layer. The other layers are stacked above the background in order.
To change the order, click-and-hold on the two horizontal bars at the end of a layer and then drag it to a new position in the order. Move it up in the list to move it in front of lower layers and move it down to move it behind other layers.
Note: To show or hide a layer, select the eye icon. It works as a toggle to show/hide.
When you have set the layer order you want, continue editing the batch images and download them when you are finished.
Note: You can also change the layer order by using the Bring forward and Send backwards options. These are available from the More actions ( ... ) option on the pill menu for a layer. When selected, they move that particular layer behind or in front.
