For each foreground layer on a batch image, you can apply a drop shadow effect. A drop shadow is a blurred, shaded outline that appears behind and to the side of the object on the layer.
Drop shadows are often used with product photos on plain backgrounds because they make the image look more three-dimensional.
Note: Drop shadows are a manual feature and give you some control over the shadow's appearance. Photoroom also has AI Shadows for auto-generating realistic shadow effects. Drop shadow settings do not affect AI Shadows.
Steps (Web App)
To apply a drop shadow:
Select a foreground layer on the batch image you want to edit.
Select the More actions option ( ... ) and then Drop shadow.
Use the drop shadow settings to change the shadow's appearance and position:
Horizontal
Use to move the shadow left and right.
Vertical
Use to move the shadow up and down.
Intensity
Use to change the opacity of the shadow. The more intensity the shadow has, the darker and larger it appears.
Blur
Use to make the edge of the shadow appear sharper or softer.
Color
Use the color selector to change the color of the shadow. For more details, see Color selectors (Web App).
[Optional] To apply the same effect to other images in the batch, use Apply to all or Copy/Paste edits.

Note: To turn off the drop shadow effect, select the Remove option in the Drop shadow settings.
