Photoroom's Batch Mode lets you apply a template to multiple images at once. This feature is especially useful for adding the same design to similar images. For example, adding a seasonal background or a sales banner to a collection of images.

Here, we explain how to select a template and apply it to multiple images. If you prefer, you can create a batch of images first and then apply a template to the batch (see Create a batch of images and then apply a template).

On iPhone and iPad

Before you follow the steps below, make sure you have a custom template set up and ready to use in one of your workspaces. To learn how to create a custom template, see Create a custom template.

To select a custom template and apply it to multiple images:

(Video shows Photoroom on iPhone)

  1. Select Content.

  2. Select the workspace you want to work in.

  3. Select Templates.

  4. Select the template you want to use.

  5. Select Apply to images.

  6. Choose the images to import into Photoroom. When they import, Photoroom applies the template to them.

  7. [Optional] Use the Template tab to apply a different template to your images, for example, you could choose one of the pre-made Photoroom templates or another custom template.

  8. [Optional] Use the Resize tab to change the size and shape of your designs. Photoroom will reposition the layers on the designs to suit the size you choose.

  9. [Optional] Use the Position tab to reposition the main subject of each design in the batch. Choose from:

    • Original to position the subject how it was captured

    • Centered to position the subject in the center of the design. Use the Padding slider to change the amount of space around the subject.

    • Template to position the subject to the recommended position for the template.

  10. [Optional] To make the same changes to all designs in the batch:

    1. Select the last design in the batch to open it in the editor.

    2. Use the editor to make the changes you want.

    3. Select Done.

    4. Select Apply to all before the timer runs out. The timer is shown as a purple loading bar at the top.

A close-up of the top of the screen when the Apply to all dialog is visible. There is a purple loading line that runs across the top of the dialog and it acts as a timer. The dialog has an Apply to all button.

  11. [Optional] To make changes to individual designs in the batch:

    1. Select the design to open it in the editor.

    2. Use the editor to make the changes you want.

    3. Select Next to go to the next image in the batch.

    4. Repeat these steps until you reach the last image in the batch. Make any changes to the last image and then select Done.

    5. To keep the changes you have made to each design, DO NOT select Apply to all. Let the timer run out so that the individual changes are applied instead.

  12. Select Export and use the options to save and share your designs.
