Photoroom's Image Transformation Tools are a collection of features that use a third-party AI model instead of Photoroom's AI models. They include:

  • Virtual Model
Use to create images of clothing on a virtual model of your choice.

  • Product Staging
Use to create realistic images of your products in use.

  • Product Beautifier
Use to turn your basic product photos into studio-quality visuals.

  • Describe a change
Upload an image to Photoroom and use an AI prompt to make changes to it.

  • Flat lay
Upload a clothing photo and use AI to create an image that shows the clothing laid flat

  • Ghost mannequin
Upload a clothing photo and use AI to model the clothes on an invisible mannequin.

Here, we'll give a short overview of each of these features with links to other articles that explain how to use them.

Virtual Model

With Virtual Model, you can upload a photo of clothing and the AI will create an image that shows similar clothing on a model of your choice.

Side by side images. Left image is a photo of a jacket on a bed. Right image is a virtual model wearing a very similar jacket in a street scene.

To learn how to use Virtual Model, see Show clothing on a virtual AI model.

Product Staging

The Product Staging feature uses AI to turn a product photo into an image that shows your product in use. It reimagines your product photo in a realistic scene.

3 images side-by side. Image 1 is a photo of a mug. Image 2 is an AI image of a woman drinking from the mug while reading in a garden. Image 3 is the same woman reading and drinking from the mug, but with a yellow background.

To learn how to use Product Staging, see Show a product in a realistic scene.

Product Beautifier

Turn your basic product photos into polished, studio-quality visuals with Product Beautifier.

2 side by side images. Image 1 is a photo of a green cushioned office chair. Image 2 is a similar chair shown in a minimalistic studio setting, enhanced to look like a studio photo.

To learn how to use Product Beautifier, see Enhance your photos with Product Beautifier.

Describe a change

Use Describe a change to alter a photo or image file that you upload to Photoroom. You add your photo, describe the changes you want and the AI does the rest. Be as creative as you like and see how the AI responds!

4 images in a grid. Top left shows an orange armchair. Top right shows a pink version of the same chair with a woman sitting in it. Bottom left shows a white version of the chair on the seabed and bottom right shows a yellow version with birds on it.

Flat lay

Use Flat lay to turn any photo of clothing into a stylish, minimalistic image that shows the clothing laid flat. To learn more, see Show clothing laid flat.

Side by side images. Image 1 shows a woman in a hoodie. Image 2 shows an AI-generated image of the hoodie laid flat on a white background.

Ghost mannequin

Turn any photo of clothing into a stylish image that shows the clothing modelled by an invisible ghost mannequin. To learn more, see Show clothing on an invisible ghost mannequin.

Two images side by side. Image 1 shows a photo of a hoodie hanging on a door. Image 2 shows the same hoodie on an invisible ghost mannequin with an AI winter background.
