Use Photoroom's Virtual Model feature to show your jewelry on realistic AI models. All you need to do is: upload a photo, choose a model and size, and then let the Photoroom AI do its magic!
When using Virtual Model, be aware that:
AI images can have differences to the original photo, especially with more complex patterns, shapes and text. AI images are "interpretations" of the source content and are not exact matches.
Jewelry photos often produce close-up shots in Virtual Model.
Virtual Model images count towards your AI generation limit.
On iPhone and iPad
To add a photo of jewelry to an AI virtual model:
Note: Video has been edited to reduce AI image generation time.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select AI Tools.
Select Virtual Model.
Select Add your photo and upload the jewelry photo you want to use.
Use the Virtual Model settings to guide the AI:
Text prompt
Enter a description of the image you want. For jewelry, it's a good idea to tell the AI to do a close-up image. For example, "Close-up of ring on finger" or "Close-up of necklace around neck".
Subject
Use to change the image you uploaded, if required.
Model
Choose a virtual model from the list or select Custom and upload a photo of your own model.
Background
Choose a style of AI background for the image or select + and upload your own image as inspiration.
Pose
Pose is more for clothing images, but you can use it to guide jewelry images too. Select the position you want the model to be in.
Size
Choose the dimension for the image (Square, Portrait 2:3 ratio, Landscape 3:2 ratio).
Select the arrow button to generate 2 images.
If neither of the images are close to what you want, select the arrow button again to generate more images. Note that there is a limit on how many images you can generate each day.
When you have an image that's close to what you want, select it.
Use Remove background to include or exclude the AI background from the design.
If you remove the background, you will get a design that has no background layer and the virtual model character on another layer. This is a good choice if you want to place the virtual model on a different background, such as a plain color.
If you keep the background, you will get a design that has no background layer. The entire AI image, including any background details, will be on a single layer.
[Optional] To make changes to the image, describe the changes you want in the text prompt field and then select the arrow button. Photoroom generates a new image.
Select Export. Use the export settings to save your design, download it as an image file, and share it with other people.
Note: On the Max plan, you can use Create animation to turn your design into an animated video clip. To learn about animations, see Animate an exiting design.
Select X to save your design and exit the editor.
Tip: To use the virtual model with a Photoroom template, generate the virtual model image and remove its background. Then export it as an image file. Next, select +New design and import your virtual model image file. Wait for Photoroom to remove its background and then select the template you want to use.
