There are several different types of animation you can use, including rotation, swipe, and more.

To animate an image that you upload to Photoroom:

  1. Select the Space you want to work in. The Animate feature is only available in Max Spaces.

  2. Select AI Tools.

  3. Select Animate.

  4. Provide an image. You can either:

    1. Upload a photo from your device's Camera roll

    2. Take a photo with your device's Camera

    3. Upload an image file from your Files

    4. Generate an image with AI*

*If you use Generate an image with AI, you will need to enter a prompt to create the image. When you have the image, export it and then use the animation option in the export settings. This is similar to how you Animate an existing design. You can ignore the remaining steps in this article.

  5. Choose an animation style.

There are several to choose from, including 360 rotation, focus, and glide. The menu shows an animated preview of each animation style.

  6. Wait for Photoroom to generate the animation. It can take a few minutes. When it is finished, you will see an "All done!" message box. Select See animation.

  7. Select the animation to display a menu.

  8. Either:

    1. Select Save to your Gallery to save your animation.

    2. Select Generate a variation to create an alternative animation. Choose an animation style and wait for Photoroom to generate the image. Then select it and either save it or generate another variation.

  9. To use your animation in projects outside of Photoroom, you can use the video file in your device's Gallery. Alternatively, you can export it again from your Animations folder in Photoroom.
