Use Photoroom’s Video Generator to create a video from a photo on iPhone or iPad. This tool uses AI to animate your image, making it more eye-catching and appealing. It's ideal for social media posts, product demos, and marketing visuals.

Steps (iOS)
To create a video from a photo you upload, follow the steps below.
(Video is edited to show video generation at faster speed).
Select the Space you want to work in.
Note: The Video generator feature is only available in Max and Ultra Spaces.
Select AI Tools.
Select Video generator.
Choose an option:
Select a template to start with preset layouts, models, and camera directions. For best results, choose a template from the automatically selected category.
Select Skip template to create a video from scratch, using only a prompt.
Provide an image.
Either:
Choose a recent image from your Uploads
Choose an image from your Brand cutouts
Choose an image from your latest AI images
Upload a photo from your device's Camera roll
Take a photo with your device's Camera
Upload an image file from your Files
Generate an image with AI*
*If you use Generate, you will need to use another AI Tool to create the image. When you have the image, select Use image to return to the Video Generator.
[Optional] Use the prompt field to add a text description of the video. Describe what you want to see, the type of lighting, the background, whether a person is smiling or serious, etc.
Choose the dimensions for the video:
Landscape (16:9)
Portrait (9:16)
Square (1:1)
Select Generate video.
Note: Video generation costs AI credits.
Wait for Photoroom to generate the animation. It can take a few minutes. When it is finished, the video will appear.
Select Save to save the video to your device's photo gallery.
Tip: The video's context menu ( ... ) has options for saving and deleting videos.
[Optional] Use the video settings, prompt, and arrow button to make changes and generate variations of the video. Each generation will cost more AI credits.
Select X to exit the video generator.
To use the video in other applications, download it from your device's photo gallery. The video is also stored in a folder for the Space in Photoroom.
Troubleshooting
If you are having problems getting your video just right, try:
Not using a template (select Skip template instead) and then use the prompt to describe what you want. For tips, see Write more effective prompts for AI.
Using a template only or a prompt only, but not the two combined.
Note: The Video Generator will continue to evolve and improve over time.
