You can use a limited version of Photoroom for free, simply by setting up a Photoroom account. This will give you a Personal Space on the Free subscription plan. It provides limited access to features, but gives you a taste of how Photoroom can help you.
There is also a 7 day free trial available when you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time.
How does a free trial affect the payment schedule?
If you have a free trial, the payment schedule (also known as the billing cycle) begins when the trial period ends. You will get 7 days free and we will take your subscription payment on Day 8.
Here are two examples that show how the payment schedule works:
Example: Photoroom Pro yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial
In this example, we'll show you how the free trial pushes the payment schedule forward by 7 days.
May 1, 2025: You subscribe to Photoroom Pro for the first time and choose a yearly payment plan. Since this is your first subscription, you receive a 7-day free trial.
May 8, 2025: The free trial ends and your payment schedule begins. We take the payment for your subscription (unless you canceled during the free trial).
May 8, 2026: Your annual subscription ends and will auto-renew unless you have cancelled or upgraded.
Payment schedule: May 8 to May 8 the following year.
Example: Photoroom Pro yearly subscription (no free trial)
In this example, we'll show you how the payment schedule works when there is no free trial.
May 1, 2025: You subscribe to Photoroom Pro and choose a yearly payment plan.
May 1, 2026: Your subscription ends and will auto-renew unless you have canceled or upgraded.
Payment schedule: May 1 to May 1 the following year.
Cancel a free trial
If, during the free trial, you decide that you don't want to go ahead with your subscription, you can cancel.
When you cancel your free trial:
You’ll continue to have access to the paid features until your trial ends.
You won’t be charged when the trial period is over.
Once the trial ends, the paid features will no longer be available.
It’s completely normal to still see paid features after you’ve canceled. They’ll remain active until your trial expires.
If you don't cancel during the free trial, Photoroom will take your subscription payment when the trial ends. You will then be on your subscription, which will auto-renew at the end of the payment schedule unless you cancel.
