Templates are pre-made designs that can set the canvas size, backgrounds, graphics, and text for your images. They can save you considerable time when editing images that need the same, or similar, elements. They also help to ensure consistency across your images and promote your brand consistently.

Image shows a template applied to three images in a batch so that they all have the same background and I love Photoroom text.

Note: Applying a template is an optional step when editing a batch of images.

Steps (Web App)

To apply a template to a batch of images:

  1. Select Templates.

  2. Select a tab at the top and then choose a template:

    • From Photoroom - Templates provided by Photoroom

    • Your Templates - Custom templates created by you or your colleagues.

Note: Templates that have a star symbol use AI in their design.

When you apply a template:

  • Any layers marked as replaceable subjects (in the template's design) are not added to your images. They are replaced by the main subject of your image.

  • Templates that use AI may change to suit the subject of your image.

To learn about creating your own custom templates, see Create a custom template. If you use the Web App, you can also save a batch image as a template.

Tip: You can turn a batch image into a template that you can use for other batch images and regular, non-batch designs. For instructions, see Save a batch images as Templates (Web App).
