Use the Background option to change the background of a batch of images. You can change it for one image, several images, or all images in the batch.
Steps (Web App)
There are three types of background you can use for batch images:
AI Backgrounds
Static image backgrounds
Solid color backgrounds.
For step-by-step instructions on each type, see the sections below.
Apply an AI Background to a batch of images
You can use Photoroom's AI to generate background images for your batch. The images will have a similar look and feel, but won't be exactly the same. This is because the AI adapts each background to suit the colors and lighting in each individual image.
Select the images you want to edit.
To learn more, see How to select batch images (Web App).
Select Background.
Make sure Remove original backgrounds is on.
Select AI.
Select the AI Model you want to use. Studio is the newest model and often produces better results, but it uses more AI credits than v3 and v2.
Use the AI Backgrounds features to tell Photoroom what you want to see as the background.
You can:Enter a description in the prompt field.
Pick a theme from the available categories.
Search for an image on Unsplash (v3 and v2 only).
Select Start with and Upload your own image.
Select Start with and choose one of your Recent AI Backgrounds.
Select the arrow button to generate.
Select the image you want to use and confirm you want to apply it to your batch. Applying the image will cost AI credits.
[Optional] Use the editor to make further changes, such as add text, graphics, or shapes.
Note: Images you add with Search or Upload guide the AI. Photoroom uses them as inspiration for the background it generates, not as the background itself.
