Use Photoroom's Recolor feature to correct colors in your batch images. Its a fast and convenient way to make your images have consistent colors without losing texture and detail. You can fine tune the color or change it completely.

Before and after. Before is a t-shirt in muted orange. After is product photos showing the t-shirt in a more vivid shade of orange.

Availability

  • Pro users can use Recolor on individual Batch images.

  • Max and Ultra users can use Recolor on multiple Batch images at once.

  • Each generation uses AI credits.

Steps (Web App)

To recolor one or more images in a batch:

Note: We assume you have already created a batch of images.

Stage 1: Access the Recolor tool

  1. Select the Space you want to work in.

  2. Select Batch.

  3. Use Import images or Import folder to create a new batch of images.

  4. Select Upload.

  5. Select the images you want to recolor.

To learn about selecting multiple images in Batch, see How to select images using the Batch feature (Web App).

  6. Select AI Tools and then Recolor.

Alternatively, select an image and then select More tools and Recolor from the pill menu.

Important: Make sure you select AI Tools from inside the Batch editor. If you're outside the Batch editor, the standalone Recolor feature will open instead.

Stage 2: Use the Recolor settings

Use the Recolor settings to give Photoroom instructions:

  1. Select the batch image(s) you want to recolor.

  2. Use the Color selector to choose your target color. It will replace color(s) in the image.

  3. Use the prompt to describe which parts to recolor, for example, "recolor the tshirt".

  4. Choose a Size.

  5. Select Generate image.

    Each generation uses AI credits.

Photoroom generates a recolored version of each selected image based on your settings.

Stage 3: Edit your Batch images

The editing steps in this stage are optional. Features that use AI to generate an image require AI credits.

In Batch, you can edit Batch images in several ways:

  • Use the Batch Editor options in the side menu

  • Select a Batch image and use the options available from its pill menu

  • Open an image in the main editor to make edits that are unavailable in the Batch Editor, such as adding text and graphics.

To learn how to use these tools, see the Edit Batch images articles.

Stage 4: Download

When you have finished editing, select Download to download your images. Photoroom does not save batch images as designs.

Tip: After downloading batch images, you can re-import them as new images to use with templates, continue editing, and save them as designs.
