Use this article if publishing changes from Photoroom to Shopify fails.
Publishing failed (Web App)
Why it happens:
Publishing can fail due to:
Shopify refused one or more products
Photoroom can't communicate with your store.
How to fix it:
Read the message in the Publish incomplete dialog.
If it says "Your Shopify store is disconnected", "Photoroom is missing a Shopify permission", or "Your Shopify store is frozen", there is a connection problem. See Troubleshoot your Shopify connection.
If it says "Shopify rejected a product", continue with step 2.
Check each failed product for:
Title:
The title can't be blank or too long.
Alt text:
Alt text can't be longer than 512 characters.
Images:
Shopify accepts image files up to 20 MB. Each file must be valid (not corrupt). Replace very large or damaged images.
Edits made in Shopify:
If you changed the same product in Shopify since you last synced, discard the changes. Discarding loses the unpublished edits, so you will need to redo them afterwards. See the articles in the Related content section at the end.
Deleted products:
You can't publish to a product that has been deleted in Shopify.
Busy store:
If Shopify or Photoroom is busy, wait a minute and try again.
Select Finish publishing.
Finish publishing only republishes the products that failed, not everything.
Some products could not be published (iOS)
Why it happens:
This message can mean a connection problem, busy store, or a refused product.
How to fix it:
First check your connection:
Select Products
Select the cog icon to open the Products menu.
If the Products menu has a Connect store option, there is a connection problem. See Troubleshoot your Shopify connection.
If it doesn't have a Connect store option, continue with step 2.

Note: On iOS, publishing a single product that fails shows the message "An error occurred while publishing your changes".
Something went wrong (Android)
A red Something went wrong message appears briefly if there is a publishing problem.
Why it happens:
This message can mean a connection problem, busy store, or a refused product.
How to fix it:
If you see a Shopify is disconnected banner, there is a connection problem. See Troubleshoot your Shopify connection.
If there is no message about your store being disconnected or needing reconnection, continue with step 2.

Product images are too large to publish together (Web App)
Why it happens:
The file size of the images is too large to publish at once.
How to fix it:
Remove some images or reduce their size. Compress the image in another app or website, or use a smaller version of the photo, then replace the image in your product and publish again.
Still failing?
If one product fails on its own after these checks, or lots of products fail at once, contact support. We will need your store address, the product name or handle, the platform and app version, and the time it happened.
