Photoroom's background features make it easy to change the backgrounds of your designs. You can quickly swap a background for:
A color
Another background image
An image from your Brand Kit
A transparent background (by erasing the current background)
An AI-generated background.
In this article, we focus on replacing a background with another background image on the Web App. If you're using the iOS or Android version of Photoroom, see these articles instead:

On Web App
To replace a background with a regular background that is not generated by AI:
Log in at app.photoroom.com.
Select the Space you want to work in.
Select Designs.
Select the design that you want to edit.
Select the background of the design.
Select Change.
Select either:
AI Backgrounds to replace the background with an AI-generated background (see the Replace a background with an AI Background articles listed in the Related articles section below).
Solid color to replace the background with one color. Choose the color from the color selector (see the Change the background color articles listed in the Related articles section below).
Image to replace the background with an image.
If you chose Image, either:
Drag-and-drop an image file into the box.
Click the Select an image link and browse to the image file.
Select a recently uploaded image.
Search for a background image. Enter a search term and then use the tabs to search on Unsplash or Pixabay.
Choose a background from the Photoroom collection.
[Optional] Resize the background image and use the crop features to size and position the background appropriately.
[Optional] Select Download. Enter a file name and choose a file format and then select Download.
Select Home to save your design and exit the editor.
