This guide helps you understand where to start, where your designs are stored, and which editors to use in Photoroom.
Note: The numbered labels in the images correspond to the items listed below each screen.
Home screen: Start here
The Home screen is where most work begins. Use the Home screen to:
View the Space (workspace) or switch to another Space.
View the subscription plan for the Space or select to upgrade.
Search for a template, tool, or design by name.
Select a shortcut to a feature.
Select a shortcut to a suggested editing feature or AI Tool.
Choose a template as a starting point.
Start a new design by uploading a photo.
Open designs you worked on recently.
Access AI Tools, Batch, and Content.
AI Tools screen: Create with AI
AI Tools generate or modify images using AI. They include Virtual Model, Recolor, and AI Images. For detailed manual edits, use the main editor.
How it works:
Select an AI tool
Upload or choose an image
Adjust the settings or describe what you want
Generate images
[Optional] Open the result in the main editor to continue editing.
Save the image to store it in Photoroom and download it.
Each tool has slightly different settings, but most include:
A prompt to describe changes
Image upload options
Size or layout settings.
Tip: You can generate images using AI Tools and then further edit them in the main editor.
Batch screen: Edit many images at once
Use Batch to apply edits to multiple images in one workflow:
Process product photos in bulk
Apply the same changes to many images
Save time on repetitive editing.

Content screen: Find and organize your work
The Content screen is where everything in your Space is stored and managed.
Use it to:
Access the options that let you:
Manage your Brand Kit
Choose your preferences.
Access Team information:
View who has access to the Space
Invite other people to join the Space.
Access and organize:
Create folders
Access templates, uploads, and video.
View and edit saved designs.
Start a new design.
Main editor: Fine-tune your images
The main editor opens when you create or open a design. This is where you refine your image.

Options for editing the image.
These include:
Layers - Use to arrange objects front to back.
Insert - Add graphics or images.
Text - Add and style text.
Backgrounds - Replace the background with a color, image, or AI-generated scene.
Shadows - Apply AI shadow effects.
Resize - Change the dimensions for different uses.
Select a layer to display settings for that layer.
Use the layer settings to make changes. There are many settings available, including options for cropping, lighting adjustments, blur effects, and AI modifications.
AI Tools editors: Generate images
Each AI Tool has its own editor focused on generating images. Typical features include:
Preview for generated images.
Context menu for each generated image, with options for generating variants.
Prompt for describing changes and settings for changing the subject, background, and size. The arrow button triggers the next generation.
